Take a Virtual TourJanaki trained as a City lawyer at Linklaters but then moved into the charitable and non-profit sector. She has held a variety of roles at organisations including Prisoners Abroad and the Personal Support Unit at the Royal Courts of Justice.
Since 2019, Janaki has been both a volunteer at and a Trustee of the Unitas Youth Zone. Her responsibilities as a trustee include Chair of the Operations commitee, legal and governance issues. As a volunteer she has worked with the Ambitions, United Youth Seniors and Unitas young leaders programmes.
She is also co-owner of the consultancy MJ Allen & Associates which she founded with her husband.
