The official opening day of Croydon’s Legacy Youth Zone has been revealed as Saturday 7th September 2019. To mark the 100-day countdown to opening, young people and staff were joined by Councillor Flemming and Councillor Khan at the £6.5million Youth Zone site.
Located on Whitehorse Road, the state-of-the-art facility will provide thousands of young people aged 8 to 19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
For an annual membership fee of £5 then just 50p per visit, members will have access to an indoor climbing wall, music room with recording studio, 3G kick pitch, boxing gym, sports hall, training kitchen, fully equipped gym, dance and drama studio, enterprise suite and much more.
From September 7th onwards, Legacy Youth Zone will be open for young people 7 days a week whenever schools are closed, including evenings and weekends, offering registered members over 20 activities every night.

Legacy Youth Zone is being delivered in partnership with OnSide Youth Zones, Croydon Council, and several local businesses and philanthropists who wish to see Croydon flourish. In total £6.5million was raised for the construction of the building, including £3.25million from Croydon Council
