Construction starts on The Way

22nd October 2014 by OnSide 2 min

The young people of Wolverhampton are one step closer to having their very own world-class facility as construction work on Wolverhampton’s new Youth Zone, ‘The Way’ is now underway.

The young people of Wolverhampton, or the ‘Young People’s Development Group’ as they are more commonly known have played a hugely important part in the development of their Youth Zone, having a say in the branding and the look of the Youth Zone among other vital aspects.

And now the reality of having somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to is within their sights as they joined us, local contractor A. & H. Construction & Developments PLC, founder patrons, local businesses, The Way’s Chairman Steve Morgan along with the world’s largest spade to mark the moment construction began.

Steve Morgan expressed his excitement as he addressed the audience at the site: “There is a real need in Wolverhampton, and across the country, for young people to have somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to in their leisure time. The Youth Zone is helping to lead the way forward by investing heavily in our city’s young people.

“Everybody associated with the Youth Zone is thrilled to get the building work started and we’re all incredibly excited about what this fantastic facility will mean for the future of Wolverhampton.”
