Our network of Champions are our ‘go-to’ individuals when engaging with Parliament and Government, helping raising awareness of their local Youth Zone and OnSide’s wider Network of youth centres, and building support for youth work more widely.
Commenting on her role, Kirith said:
“I am pleased to become one of OnSide’s first Youth Zone Champions, working to raise awareness of their growing Network of Youth Zones, including Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC), a vital local youth charity that is one of the largest youth clubs in the UK and the blueprint behind the OnSide Network of Youth Zones. Youth work is a crucial untapped resource which needs to be better harnessed and supported. Youth workers in centres like BLGC really help young people see what they could achieve, and help give them the skills, confidence and ambition to go for it. I’m looking forward to championing their fantastic work”.
