Whispering Smith generously donates clothing to young people

Whispering Smith, a multi-million-pound fashion design and international distribution business, has donated an incredible £90,000 worth of clothing to OnSide Youth Zones over the next three years which will make an overwhelming difference to thousands of young people.

Rajan and Rittu Kumar, recently attended OnSide Youth Zone’s Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace in the presence of HRH Prince Harry and were blown away by the work of OnSide. The generous pair toured one of OnSide’s Youth Zones in Wigan and saw, first hand, the positive impact Youth Zones are having on communities and how they are changing the lives of young people across the country.

Kathryn Morley, Chief Executive, OnSide Youth Zones said of the kind gesture: “As the temperature plummets, finding the extra money for warm, winter clothing is simply not possible for some of the disadvantaged families we work with and this incredibly generous donation will make an enormous difference to young members across our network. We are extremely grateful to Rajan & Rittu and everyone at Whispering Smith Group for their three year pledge which will help us in our mission to ensure all young people have healthier, happier and more aspirational lives.”

Rajan Kumar said “we are thrilled to be involved with OnSide over the next 3 years. Knowing the garments we produce will help support local youths and families over the winter periods means a lot to us. OnSide Youth Zones are doing a fantastic job and long may it continue.”

The family-run company designs, manufactures and distributes their biggest brand Brave Soul to over 1,500 stores worldwide, with a flagship store in Madrid and showrooms in London, Manchester, New York and Dusseldorf.

Their 500,000sqft Manchester warehouse allows them to stock and distributes fast and affordable fashion, from on trend knitwear, jersey, outerwear, denims, shoes and accessories to an impressive range of essential wardrobe staples.
