We’re delighted to have the support of The Steve Morgan Foundation and are grateful to be awarded £650,000. The Foundation has been a long time supporter of OnSide Youth Zones that serve its geographic focus, having been involved in the creation of The Way, Wolverhampton Youth Zone in 2012. We’re also thankful to the UBS Optimus Foundation, a partner of The Steve Morgan Foundation, for topping up the grant with an additional 10%.
This funding, which amounts to £100,000 per year, will help cover essential staff costs, ensuring the continued delivery of vital youth services at The Hive, Wirral Youth Zone, Warrington Youth Zone, and The Way, Wolverhampton Youth Zone. An additional £50,000 per year has been earmarked for the opening of The Dome Youth Zone in Crewe.
“I have a long-standing relationship with OnSide, dating back to my involvement with Wolverhampton Wanderers. In 2012, the Steve Morgan Foundation designed and built The Way Youth Zone in Wolverhampton, providing a safe environment for young people to have fun and thrive. Over 17,500 youngsters have benefited from the activities and support offered there.
