Take a Virtual TourThe Stronger Sisters project inspires young women aged 13 to 19, particularly those from ethnic minorities, and supports them to build confidence and resilience. The project aims to reach many more young women that need us, those who are traditionally excluded from other services and those who are otherwise hidden. Funded by the Islamic Relief Fund, the 20-week project is currently run in Blackburn, Manchester and Mahdlo, Oldham Youth Zone. It explores women’s voices, entrepreneurship and creating positive social change.
Groups meet regularly for 20 weeks, taking part in specially facilitated Support Circles. Members also take part in activities, such as trips to the Manchester Women’s Museum, and have opportunities to engage with community events and national days, such as International Women’s Day.
