I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up with access to a fantastic youth centre—it had such a positive impact on my life. Unfortunately, this isn’t the reality for many young people today, which is why I’m so inspired by the incredible work OnSide does to ensure all young people are given these life-changing opportunities.
It’s truly inspiring to be part of a team that provides these opportunities, drives meaningful change, and helps young people flourish. Watching their growth and transformation is the most rewarding experience!
Watching the National Youth Orchestra perform for the young people at one of our Youth Zones was an unforgettable experience.
Seeing the young people’s reactions as they were greeted by this incredible wall of sound was truly something special—an awe-inspiring moment that will stay with me for a long time.
The first Youth Zone I visited was Future in Barking and Dagenham, and I was absolutely blown away by the energy and excitement of the session!
I left feeling really inspired by the enthusiasm and unwavering commitment of the incredible youth workers. Their passion for making a difference is truly remarkable.
I absolutely love the arts room! Seeing the incredible work created by the young people always leaves me feeling truly inspired.
I’m continually impressed by how the youth workers use arts as a lens to explore important topics like International Women’s Day, Black History Month, and Pride. Their ability to make these subjects engaging and meaningful is really inspiring.
Fun fact (or maybe just a confession): I was once a contestant on Dale Winton’s Supermarket Sweep!
It’s something I’m proud and slightly mortified by in equal measure!
