Greg Farrimond

Greg joined OnSide in August 2016 after spending six years working in the local media in Wigan.

It was during his time at the Wigan Evening Post and Wigan Observer newspapers that he covered the progress, building and success of Wigan Youth Zone. While with the company, he also achieved the National Qualification in Journalism, which followed on from his BA (Hons) degree in Sports Journalism. He also spent a short time working in the communications department at Blackpool FC.

Greg’s role at OnSide sees him managing the charity’s media relations as well as communications for OnSide projects across the south of England, with emphasis on building websites for new Youth Zones and promoting them via social media as well as forming relationships with journalists in-line with OnSide’s communications strategy. He also supports the revenue campaigns for each project as well as working with the young people in the capital.
