Take a Virtual TourI have been involved in some form of youth club/ youth work since I was 6 years old and it has really shaped who I am. So when I saw a role open up at OnSide I jumped at the opportunity to continue to contribute to such amazing work.
On my first session in a Youth Zone and young member drew a picture of me whilst we were chatting… it was both the most lovely gesture and a scarily accurate drawing!
The first Youth Zone I visited was Unitas. It was actually during the day when a community group was visiting but even then the facilities and energy of the place blew me away! It was even better when I actually got to see a youth club session.
I would probably be out in the rec quite a lot as I am a complete nerd for both chess and table tennis. I also would probably spend lots of time in the training kitchen, attempting to cook tasty treats.
The first thing I EVER cooked was at a Youth Zone in Leeds. Scrambled eggs never tasted so good.
