I’ve been part of the OnSide Network since 2016, and over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact it has on young people. Joining OnSide (again) felt like a natural step. I’m a huge advocate for youth work and passionate about elevating the voices and stories of young people. It’s a privilege to champion an organisation like OnSide that continues to lead the way and push boundaries in youth development.
What’s been a memorable moment you’ve had working with the team?
A memorable moment(s) would be witnessing the joy a new Youth Zone unveiling brings the wider team as well as the young people it serves. It shows just how much the whole network is invested in the development of Youth Zones.
What was the first Youth Zone you visited and what did you think?
The first Youth Zone I visited was Wigan Youth Zone and blown away was an understatement. The entire building was buzzing, and it was a real atmosphere of joy and youthfulness.
What would be your go-to Youth Zone room and why?
Would it be cheating if I said every room? I’d say naturally, the enterprise room! I love seeing young people tap into their entrepreneurial creativity.
