I wanted to be part of OnSide’s commitment to training youth workers, so that they can deliver the excellent standard of youth work that young people deserve.
What’s been a memorable moment you’ve had working with the team?
Every time another cohort of youth workers from around the network completes their award, is memorable. I just love hearing about all the amazing things they are doing in their youth zones and seeing them growth and develop.
What was the first Youth Zone you visited and what did you think?
Wigan Youth Zone, for my interview for a role at The Hive Youth Zone. My thoughts were wow this is amazing, and so big!
What would be your go-to Youth Zone room and why?
The Art room, I’m a creative person and I love to see young people being inspired to be creative.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
When I left school, I wanted to be an Aircraft Engineer (inspired by Top Gun!)
